The International Trichoscopy Society

The International Trichoscopy Society has been founded in 2017 with the aim to gather doctors and institutions interested in Trichoscopy.
The first meeting of the ITS was organized in Warsaw, Poland in March 2018 by Professor Lidia Rudnicka.
The meeting was a big success with more than 700 attendees participating from all the world.

Lidia Rudnicka

Lidia Rudnicka is a Polish-American dermatologist with contributions to the field of scleroderma research, hair diseases and melanoma prevention. Rudnicka was the chairman of the Department of Dermatology CSK MSWiA (Central Clinical Hospital of Ministry of Internal Affaires) in Warsaw, Poland (1998-2014). She is currently (starting 2014) chairman of the Department of Dermatology at Medical University of Warsaw. She is president of the Polish Dermatological Society, first president of te International Society of Trichoscopy and associate editor of the Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. From 1990 to 1993, she worked in American and European institutions: Food and Drug Administration (USA), University of Liège (Belgium) and Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia (USA). Additionally, Rudnicka has authored or co-authored over 200 articles and book chapters, mainly concerning autoimmune skin diseases, biological therapies, videodermoscopy, trichoscopy, epidemiology of skin diseases and managing medical institutions.

Antonella Tosti

Antonella Tosti is an Italian physician and scientist with major contributions in the field of dermatology. She is the author of Dermoscopy of Hair and Scalp Disorders, the first hair and scalp dermoscopy (trichoscopy) atlas ever published. Her major contributions do international medicine include research related to various aspects of hair diseases. A new hair disorder described by Antonella Tosti is often referred to as “Tosti alopecia”. Her contributions to knowledge about nails include research about videodermoscopy of the hyponychium and the nail plate. Antonella Tosti is author or co-author of several dermatological monographs and book chapters,[citation needed] including an e-medicine chapter about contact stomatitis. Professor Antonella Tosti is author of over 550 scientific publications. She is a member of the North American Hair Research Society and mentee of Wds mentorship award.

Rodrigo Pirmez

Rodrigo Pirmez is preceptor of the dermatology outpatient clinic of Santa Casa da Misericórdia - Institute of Dermatology Professor Rubem David Azulay. He works in different fields of dermatology, especially alopecias. He trained at institutions specialized in hair and scalp diseases - University of Miami, University of California San Francisco and Center Sabouraud - Hôpital Saint-Louis (Paris). He is the author of book chapters and several scientific papers published in national and international medical journals. In 2013, he was awarded the “Mentorship Program Grant” conferred by the North American Hair Research Society (NAHRS). He also received a prize from the European Hair Research Society (EHRS) at the 7th World Congress of Hair Research in Edinburgh in 2013. He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Dermatology and European Hair Research Society.

Daniel Asz Sigall

Dr. Asz Sigall is a graduate of the UNAM as Surgeon. Later, he specialized in Dermatology at the General Hospital “Dr. Manuel Gea González ”where he also studied the subspecialty in Dermatological Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology . He completed his studies in Cosmetic Dermatology , Laser and Hair Diseases in Spain. In the career of Dr. Asz Sigall highlights collaborations for radio and television addressing issues of their specialty. He is co-author of the books “Dermatology, High Diagnosis and Treatment” and “Fitzpatrick, Dermatology in General Medicine”; as well as multiple articles for national and international journals. He is the Director and Founder of Dermalomas. Clinic of medical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology , located in Mexico City . Assistant professor in dermatology at Oncodermatology and Trichology clinic of National Autonomous University of Mexico. President of Mexican Trichology Society, founding member and treasurer of International Trichoscopy Society. Lecturer in trichoscopy at many international medical congresses and the author of several scientific articles. He is an expert in Medical Dermatology, Surgical Dermatology, Cosmetic Dermatology, Laser, Hair Diseases and Nails . He has more than 15 years of experience in various prestigious institutions such as the General Hospital “Dr. Manuel Gea González ” . He is co-author of the books “Dermatology, High Diagnosis and Treatment” and “Fitzpatrick, Dermatology in General Medicine” ; as well as multiple articles for national and international magazines, also, he has participated in radio and television. Also, he has participated as a speaker in the country and abroad. It is part of different associations among which are the Mexican Academy of Dermatology and the Mexican Society of Dermatology . Thanks to this, Dr. Asz Sigall is recognized as one of the best specialists in dermatology in Mexico City.
